Rules

Cargo, except those types of cargo carriage of which is forbidden by corresponding instructions, is accepted for carriage in case the following conditions are met:

• Import, export or transit of cargo accepted for transportation should be allowed by laws and rules of any country, from/on/via the territory of which the cargo is transported.
• Cargo should be accompanied by all necessary forms: airway bill, cargo manifest, commercial invoices.
• Cargo should not represent a danger for the aircraft, people and property aboard and should not cause inconvenience for passengers.
• Dangerous and perishable goods as well as animals and other special goods are transported in conformity with conditions, set forth in IATA regulations on special goods transportation (DGR, LAR,PER).
• Goods packing should be made in such a way which will guarantee safe keeping of the cargo during air transportation under conditions of standard handling procedures and will exclude probability of causing damage either to other persons or other cargo or property of the carrier. While packing the cargo specific properties and peculiarities should be also taken into consideration.
• Each piece of the transported cargo should bear corresponding marking labels, and in case of transportation of special cargo special marking in conformity with international standards.Responsibility for non-observance of rules of cargo acceptance for transportation rests with Cargo Agent.
• Carrier reserves the right to check all cargo shipments and contents of any cargo package.
• Air freight forwarder is responsible to provide the cargo agent with all documents which are required for cargo transportation. The necessary documentation should be in conformity with laws, resolutions and rules of the state authorities of the countries from/to/via the territory of which the cargo is transported.
• Upon request of customs or other state authorities air freight forwarder is required to be present at inspection of his/her cargo shipment. In case this condition is not met Carrier shall not bear responsibility to freight forwarder (owner of the cargo) for damage that may be caused to freight forwarder (owner of the cargo).
• Carrier reserves the right to refuse to transport any kind of cargo in case its transportation contradicts corresponding laws, rules and regulations or cargo accompanying documents are not duly filled in.

Carrier shall not accept the following types of cargo to transportation:

• Cargo with objectionable odor
• Cargo the dimensions of which are too large to be loaded into cargo compartment
• Cargo the weight of which exceeds floor loading limitation of the cargo compartment
• Cargo which is packed improperly or package of which may cause an injure or damage to the staff of the carrier while handling the cargo
• Cargo without appropriate accompanying documents (commercial invoices, export-import licenses, medical certificates etc.)
• Cargo the contents of which cannot be transported by air (various types of dangerous substances or articles)
• Cargo the import of which into certain countries is forbidden by internal regulations of these countries

Carrier is not liable for refusal in cargo transportation in case such transportation contradicts laws, rules or regulations in force of the state authorities of any country from/to/via territory of which the cargo is to be transported.

Detailed information on regulations of transportation of the special goods such as: dangerous goods, live animals, valuable goods, mortal remains, unaccompanied baggage, perishable goods, transportation of containers with human kidney, live organs and blood, as well as regulations of the transportation of bulky baggage, cargo packing and marking may be obtained from Air Moldova cargo department.

After air freight forwarder presents all necessary documents and cargo contents meet all necessary requirements and upon receipt of booking confirmation from the carrier, cargo agent concludes an agreement on transportation with freight forwarder. The official confirmation of such an agreement is airway bill duly signed by the cargo agent and freight forwarder.
