Air Moldova in cooperation with National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB) launches a new product “Air & Rail” BeNe. The new service offers all passengers travelling by air between Chisinau and Brussels to travel further on by train to the train stations in Belgium and Netherlands.
The new product Air & Rail BeNe offers the connection between Chisinau International Airport and the final destination in Belgium or Netherlands (among those listed further on) traveling on route:
Bruxelles Midi, Mechelen, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Hague, Schiphol airport and Amsterdam
The whole itinerary with the rail segments included must be issued in the same ticket.
Use of AIR & RAIL Belgium - Netherlands
Train services to/from Belgium-Netherlands:
Passengers arriving to the International airport of Brussels, Zaventem, must go to the arriving area and then, following indicators must reach level -1 (minus one) to get to the Rail station (take a look at the scheme below).
The “Air & Rail” tickets can be purchased online on www.airmoldova.md, from own ticket offices or from any authorized ticketing agency. In order to benefit from a free train trip, the ticket and reservation should mandatory include the railway segment. Railway transport service is included in the air ticket price.
Train Ticket Validity
The train ticket is valid for the date of travel indicated in the ticket. For direction Chisinau-Brussels the train ticket is valid on arrival day in Brussels only. For direction Brussels-Chisinau, the train ticket is valid on departure day from Brussels.
The ticket for the train is valid for the itinerary indicated in the air ticket only. The passenger may travel on all BeNe – Netherlands Railways and SNCB – Belgian Railways with numbers 9B/9200 – 9B/9299, except Thalys Trains.
How to Activate the Train Ticket
In order to activate the train ticket, the passenger is requested to check-in and to print out his rail paper ticket. Check-in must be done individually online (web-Check-In), by accessing the link: www.accesrail.com/checkin
Online (web-Check-In) procedure: 72 hours before the flight, the passenger must access the link www.accesrail.com/checkin. After web check-in, the ticket must be printed. There will not be access to the train without a prior check-in procedure. The printing of the tickets at railway stations is not possible. Online check-in doesn’t presume the booking of a particular seat in the train.
The Rail Stations in Belgium and Netherlands is equipped with the automated registration of the train tickets. Please, see the instruction for the automated registration below:
Transportation of baggage
During the rail travel, all luggages are carried by and with the passenger. For luggage transport during rail journey, luggage racks and compartments are available. The maximum permitted weight is up to 23 kg.
The passenger is requested to hold the following documents throughout the trip:
- Electronic ticket’s itinerary;
- Printed train ticket (obtained upon check-in);
- Valid ID document.
